Graduated from Istanbul Technical University, holds a B.Sc. in Marine Engineering and is a certified A Class Chief Engineer. (1979-1983)
He has Maritime Law Certificate & Maritime Insurance Certificate.
Between 1997 and 2014 under the employment of Bureau Veritas Istanbul he undertook a variety of tasks, allowing him to achieve the following Qualifications and positions:
Business Development Manager of Marine Activities,"Ships in Service" Senior Surveyor of "Ships in Service",System Certification Director (CSOM) ,
*Certified Lead Auditor on ISM Code,*Maritime Security Auditor (MSA),*MLC 2006 Inspector
*Certified Lead Auditor on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001
*Trainer for ISM- International Safety Management, Risk Management, Incident Investigation and TMSA- Tanker Management Self Assessment,Management of Change,
*Consultative authority in Shipping for Bank (Financial Institute)
*Establishment of HSE System for BV Turkey Marine Activities
Prior to joining Bureau Veritas, Sinan Dedekoy has also completed a total of 14 years of seagoing employment on board various types of vessel, the last 2 as A' Class Chief Engineer
